Partially Suited

Coat - Zara
Jumper - Topshop
Collar shirt- Zara
Trousers - Zara
Necklaces - assorted vintage
Boots - Koi Couture

I cannot deny, every autumn/winter, I develop an affinity for the colour black. I am convinced I am not alone with this obsession, as this season sees a number of black-clad people roaming. Black is a staple colour for the cooler seasons, be it in suede or velvet, leather or wool, for every garment, black is the default, and it is not difficult to understand why.

These photos may appear a little monotonous, for the simple reason that I was far too cold to take off my coat! I was wearing a wonderfully soft angora jumper. To save myself from the effort of choosing a matching scarf, I went for a classic white collared shirt to wear underneath. I bought these suit trousers from Zara quite a while ago now, but the thick material is a god send for when the temperature drops. I find that skinny jeans are awful at keeping me warm, but maybe that's just the jeans I wear.

These buckle chelsea ankle boots are a recent addition to my wardrobe. I love the cut out style, which you can't see very well in these pictures, thanks to the fact I wisely chose to wear black socks. Nevertheless, these are probably my favourite chelsea ankle boots so far off this season; I do believe you can be this specific when it comes to boots, simply because there are so many different shapes and styles.

Best Of: Knitwear

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Whilst procrastinating on the internet, I happened to come across some beautiful statement knitwear pieces on Romwe; hence I continued this round of procrastination by compiling said favourite statements into a little blog post. Romwe has always been one of those websites which I have heard of, but never really taken an interest into looking at any further; which I sincerely regret, because I have been missing out on some lovely clothing! Finally, I understand why the Blogosphere is so obsessed with Romwe.

Undoubtedly, one of my favourite parts of winter is simply the fashion, if I were to be more specific: I love the knitwear! Of course, jumpers are ridiculously comfortable and cosy, but there is something about the colour and consistency of the material which draws my attention. At the moment I find myself particularly drawn to simple block colours and classic cable knits. Jumpers are easy to put together, easy get a hold of and simply so pragmatic. I find that knitwear is feasible to layer with, and it is only accordingly that a jumper is followed with a variety of tartan scarves and boyfriend coats to name but a few!
