Manchester's Street Style

Today, my friend (Amani) and I decided to take a trip to Manchester for our first ever street style session! Street style is a new section to my blog and I can't wait to go on another trip to capture more of Britain's wonderful style. We were super impressed with what everyone was wearing and had a really great time spotting some really stylish people. Thanks to everyone pictured below for letting us photograph you!

I love the layering in this outfit!
I love the luxe twist to this outfit!
Slouchy tailored coats were a very popular choice!
I love the beanie hat! They're definitely big this season.
I love the classic denim and camouflage look here!
Chunky knitwear is perfect for wrapping up warm - and I love the shoes
I love the classic tailoring here, and boots are a must for this season!
I love the animal-print detailing on this coat!
I love the floral print and matching tights and brogues.
Classic layering with a mixture of fur prints - perfect for keeping warm!
I have numbered the photos to help you all when discussing each lovely girl's style, so do drop a comment on what you think below! The weather in Manchester today was awfully cold and windy, so it was admittedly difficult to take pictures, but we really appreciated how cooperative and interested everyone was.

The pavements are your catwalks and this is your front-row ticket to the latest fashion show! Stay tuned to my blog for all the latest trends, brought to your by the wonderful British public.

Check out the extra details in the video version of our trip below!

Anti Fashion

Jumper // Tesco mens // £16
Jacket // Topshop
Jeans // Vintae Levis @ Urban Outfitters // £48
High-tops // Isabel Marant
Beanie // H&M

Hey y'all!

It's definitely sweater season; anything that's knitted and looks cosy instantly catches my eye. Whilst I was doing the usual grocery shopping in Tesco, picking up the latest Vogue and what have you, a khaki coloured cable knit jumper just happened to catch my eye! Of course, I just had to take a look at it, and I instantly bought it, under the impression that my life would be incomplete without this new found sweater. I'm glad I did buy it, even though it was from the men's section; I'm all for a bit of androgyny! Plus, growing up with elder brothers certainly means that I'm used to buying from the men's section, I'm constantly borrowing various bits and bobs from my brothers' wardrobe.

I made a YouTube video with this post, so if you're interested in a little fashion bonus, or if you're just curious to hear what my accent is like, then you know where to click. (Just in case if you don't know where to click, then click here.)

See you soon! Love from,

The Arrival of Autumn

Nails done by Nails inc.
Shirt // Alexander McQueen (in Dubai)
Top // Topshop (last summer)
Skirt // Topshop
Coat // Topshop
Flats // Koi Couture
Bag // Michael Kors
Bracelet // Freedom by Topshop
Watch // Rolex

Hey y'all!

So it's finally autumn! The beautiful season where we all witness the transition of fresh green leaves turn crispy and orange; the impressive costumes at Halloween; the cold nights wrapped up in sheets and nestled in front of the telly. Autumn is a beautiful season and one which I embrace with open arms. (literally!)

As the temperature begins to drop, layering for me becomes more and more of a necessity. I thought that today would a great day for me to wear my Alexander McQueen shirt layered under a collared top I bought last summer. I like how the combination is classy yet still casual, the pencil skirt, which is stereotypically meant for the office is reinvented into casual wear. Personally, I think slouchy tailoring is perfect for a laid-back look, and slouchy tailoring will definitely be big this season! Juxtaposition is the way to go people!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, I'm pretty pleased with how the photos came out. Kudos to my fab mum for taking these photos! Also, I'm uploading a YouTube video today, it will be up in an hour, so stay tuned to my channel here.

Do You Lilac it?

Wearing - (lilac) Parma Violet by Topshop and (glitter) Precious Gems by Nyx

Dress - TFNC @ Topshop
Blazer - TFNC
Shoes - Topshop
Clutch - Khaadi
Cuff - antique
Watch - Rolex

One of my wonderful best friends just recently turned 16! To celebrate she held a very exclusive dinner party at San Carlo in Manchester, whilst we were there we saw Lauren Goodger from The Only Way is Essex (although, I don't watch that show) The dress code was smart, so I thought it would be appropriate to whip out this asymmetrical dress I bought a while ago, but never got the opportunity to wear. I don't understand why I have never worn it until now, it's really beautiful and it feels so floaty and swishy when you're in it! Sarah will definitely be able to relate to this feeling!

School is becoming more and more strenuous recently, so I apologise if my posts become a little infrequent. I love blogging and will try my best to stay committed to writing posts and posting videos on my YouTube channel as many times as I can! I hope all my lovely readers are coping with their work!

Let me know what you think by dropping a comment below; do you lilac it? (oh the irony!)

Bloggers of the Month: September

I am aware September has long gone, and October has rolled on, however, I have not forgotten this feature! So here are my favourite bloggers of September!

Photobucket Photobucket

Where do I start when expressing how much I adore Sarah's blog, or in fact, Sarah herself? I guess I should begin with Sarah's impeccable sense of style; in every blog post, Sarah never fails to impress, both in what she wears and how she writes about it, she is a stunningly eloquent writer as well as someone who has the ability to literally pull off anything! Her style is both unique and original as she effortlessly blends high street finds with designer pieces, adding a dash of her own brilliance along the way. To make it even better, Sarah is one of the most loveliest bloggers I have ever met and  she has such a wonderful personality. I strongly urge you to check out Sarah's blog and give her a follow, you will not be disappointed!

I only recently stumbled across Shevah's blog, and I absolutely adore it! If I ever need some inspiration on the grunge aesthetic then Shevah's blog is the first place I go to; the way she styles outfits is just perfect, whatever she wears, she always gets it just right. Shevah is so hauntingly beautiful, and I constantly find myself glued to her blog. It is so inspiring to see how confident and fearless Shevah comes across in her blog posts, she isn't afraid to wear whatever she wants, and I hope to aspire to have the very same quality. So thank you to Shevah really, for being such a wonderful inspiration and for just being herself!

Pintsizedfashionista is run the two very talented Mirza twins: Saanieh who currently lives in Dubai, and Alizey who currently lives in London. I have been reading their blog for months and am not afraid to admit that I check their blog everyday, looking forward to the twin's latest posts. From being dubbed "Dubai's Olsen twins" to constantly featuring in Grazia and Harpers Bazaar, it is clear that Saanieh and Alizey have everything going for them, and are destined to get very far in life. Did I mention that the duo are only a year older than myself too: 16 - I can't name many people who have gotten so far in the fashion industry at such a young age! And did I also mention that the twins have a successful range of Pintsizedfashionista leggings which are sold in Dubai? The list of what Saanieh and Alizey have achieved is literally endless, they are an inspiration to the world! It is my dream to meet them one day, I would love to interview them for my blog! In fact, I was actually very close to meeting Saanieh when I was in Dubai in summer at the H&M re-opening at Mall of the Emirates.

I've uploaded a couple of videos to YouTube! Check out one of them below and watch the rest on my channel here.
